Activists from the climate change group Last Generation have targeted an art exhibition with Andy Warhol in Milan to draw attention to issues of climate change.
They poured 8 kg of flour onto a car that had been decorated by the deceased American artist.
The demonstrators said their goal was to call for a halt to the reopening of coal-fired power plants and to demand an end to natural gas production.
Security officers attacked the women at Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan and they were then taken to a police station for questioning.
As she was led away, one of the women shouted: “My daughters, my students will soon be endangered by droughts, famines and migrations caused by climate change.”
